White River Valley Blanks Bedford North Lawrence, Improves to 3-0 in Girls Soccer

Class 1A No. 16 White River Valley continued its perfect start to the season with a 4-0 victory over Bedford North Lawrence.

Freshman Madelynn Settles led the Wolverines’ attack, scoring two goals and adding an assist in the victory.

Her older sister, junior Molly Settles, accounted for the other two goals as the sisters combined for all four of White River Valley’s goals.

The Wolverines also turned in a strong performance defensively. Goalkeeper Leia Fulford recorded six saves to preserve the clean sheet and keep Bedford North Lawrence off the scoreboard.

With the victory, White River Valley improves to 3-0 on the season, while Bedford North Lawrence falls to 0-3.
