WRV Sweeps Dugger Union in Volleyball

White River Valley picked up its first win of the season Monday night, sweeping Dugger Union in straight sets, 3-0.

The Wolverines opened the match with a 25-16 victory in the first set before holding off Dugger Union, 25-21, in the second. WRV then took control in the third, rolling to a 25-8 victory to complete the sweep.

Madison Edmondson led the Wolverines with seven kills while adding a block and nine digs. Yoselin Diaz recorded 16 digs and five assists, while Addalyn Helms turned in an all-around performance with 18 assists, 12 digs, four kills and three aces.

With the victory, White River Valley improves to 1-2 on the season, while Dugger Union falls to 1-3.

The Wolverines return home Tuesday to take on Eastern Greene. Fans can watch the match on GCSN, with coverage beginning at 5:50 p.m.
